Kendrell “Abby” Richmond, MS, BCBA

CEO/Board Certified Behavior Analyst

I’ve always had a thing for psychology and adolescent studies. As a kid, I would tell my mom that I wanted to be a "play doctor" like my childhood therapist. Little did I know, I would spend my entire adult life nurturing this interest. During undergrad, I met my first special needs kiddo while working in childcare. I was determined to crack the code of communication with him. That's when fate brought me to a rockstar professor, Dr. Jeanne Donaldson, the first BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) I’ve ever met. Her classes were mind-blowing, introducing me to the fascinating world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) where my passions for psychology and child development collided. She knew before me that it was where I belonged, encouraging me to pursue my BCBA certification. I finished my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Louisiana State University in 2017, unsure of my next move. With a sprinkle of trust and a leap of faith, I eagerly began my journey toward a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University. After a decade of working professionally with kids from all walks of life, 5 of which have been insightful, whirlwind years in the ABA universe, I am now armed with the ever-growing superpowers of experience and wisdom. I have been fortunate enough to serve the field as an RBT, BCaBA, and now a proud BCBA on a mission to guide and inspire the next wave of ABA heroes!

In my free time I enjoy gardening, taking care of my chickens and rabbits, and riding my horse.
